Audi is a German automobile manufacturer that designs, engineers, produces, markets and distributes luxury vehicles. Audi is a member of the Volkswagen Group and has its roots at Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. Audi-branded vehicles are produced in nine production facilities worldwide.

Audi History

Audi launched their first car in 1910 and it was the “Audi Type A Sport-Phaeton”. The next being the “Audi Type B” which both launched with the same year as each other. Both were very successful, especially in the different sporting events.

It was in 1920 that Horch left Audi to take up a high position in the ministry of transport but in his short time at the manufacturer, he had made the brand internationally known. After Horch left, Audi then become the first German car brand to produce a car that was left-hand drive, this was the “Audi Type K”. This became extremely popular within the 1920s, this is because it give the drive a better view of oncoming traffic.
